Things I’ve Learned So Far

There are a few things I’ve learned in life currently that I find to be important:

1. 99% of what people say is not worth becoming emotionally invested in.

2. When people are arguing they will not notice you’re trying to set the example by being the most calm person.

3. A lot of what we do is governed by self-fulfilling prophecies, for example “I can’t do this”, unless you have some severe physical limitation that constrains you that cannot be overcome.

4. Our minds fool us into thinking that we “need” certain things, when we only “want” certain things. When you believe you need something, you behave as though you need something.

5. Many of our judgments about people result in long-term anxiety, stress, and other negative emotional baggage that is not conductive towards mental health.

6. Many people may take the time to improve their physical fitness, but do nothing to improve their mental fitness.
